Consultations and Programs: Scope and Sequence

After Dr. Bryan has completed her assessment, she proposes programs that address the community's primary learning needs and goals. These typically include professional development sessions for faculty and staff; parent education programs, student assemblies, board retreats, and ongoing curricular and policy consultation. Work in the area of Gender and Sexuality Diversity takes time, and changing school culture is a gradual, uneven process. Dr. Bryan's relationship with a school is ongoing, with sequential programs occurring over time and intermittent, follow-up consultation as needed.

As the Chairperson for a Parent diversity group at a private elementary school, I have had the great pleasure of working with Jennifer Bryan. We have had Jennifer come to speak with our Parent Diversity Group twice over the past four years and each time her presentation has been very enthusiastically received. Jennifer is able to discuss with ease, sensitivity and humor one of the toughest diversity topics I know, sexual orientation. She does it so well that even the most anxious parent becomes engaged.
